Alhamdulillah, we’ve reached the midpoint of January, and we’ve been able to keep our promise every single day — 1,000 hot meals with meat, cooked and delivered directly to displaced families across Gaza.

For nearly two years, meat has been almost impossible to access. Markets are empty, prices are extreme, and most families simply cannot afford a proper meal. Being able to put protein back onto plates — even in the smallest amounts — has genuinely made a difference on the ground.

From 10 January until today, 19 January, our team has not missed a single day.

Every. Single. Day.

Delivered to families living in tents, makeshift shelters, and temporary areas where food is scarce and kitchens no longer exist.

A few realities from the ground this week:
Food prices are still climbing, and even the simplest ingredients are difficult to source.

Families remain displaced, many after multiple evacuations.

Winter nights are harsh, and a hot meal is often the only warmth they get.

Children and elderly people are still experiencing hunger daily, making consistent meals critical.

And still — despite weather, shortages, and instability — the meals continue.

Reports confirm that Israel has breached the truce dozens of times — with renewed airstrikes and gunfire killing civilians and destroying what little remains.

There is no peace. There is only endurance.

Airstrikes continue relentlessly. Residential areas in Rafah and Khan Younis have been struck hard, claiming the lives of 66 people in the past 24 hours — many of them women and children.

Hospitals are being overwhelmed, and access to medical care is crumbling under bombardment.

Meanwhile, the Global Sumud Flotilla was intercepted by Israeli forces, with over 400 activists — including Greta Thunberg — detained as they attempted to deliver aid.

As of September 15, 2025, Gaza is under a full-scale assault. Israeli forces have formally launched the main ground offensive into Gaza City, following repeated evacuation orders. The bombardment has intensified - air, sea, and ground strikes have destroyed homes, wounded civilians, and driven tens of thousands out of their neighborhoods. The Gaza Health Ministry reports nearly 65,000 deaths since the start of the war. Famine deepens, displacement grows, and our aid teams face risk every time they step out.

Despite this, because of you:
• We served 1,000 hot meals today — 500 in the North, 500 in the South.
• Each plate went directly into tents, so parents and children didn’t need to leave shelter, queue, or risk exposure near boiling pots.

On 6 September 2025, we gathered children for a special Maulidur Rasul event. We wanted it to feel like a celebration, even in the middle of hardship. On the menu was a beloved sweet — milk and rice with cream — finished with a little piece of Halab, a local treat that children here adore.

Alongside the food, there was laughter, gifts, and activities for psychological support, giving the children a rare chance to just be children again!

We cooked five pots of rice with milk, planning for about 1,000 servings. But by God’s blessing, it became 1,200 meals — more than we ever expected.

And the children’s words said it all:
“Wow, so sweet…”
“Crazy taste…”
“Delicious…”
“Best meal I’ve had since the first day of war.”

As we enter the final weeks of September, we’re determined to keep delivering hot meals, and moments of comfort to the families on the ground.
